Acrysof Toric Intraocular Lens

Do you have Astigmatism? Have you had difficulty wearing contact lenses to correct for astigmatism? If you are not a candidate for LASIK surgery, or if you are developing a cataract, the Acrysof Toric intraocular lens may be an option for you. For patients having cataract surgery, the standard/traditional lens implant does not correct astigmatism. The Acrysof Toric lens is a vision correcting lens that is inserted during cataract or clear lensectomy surgery. The unique design of this premium lens makes it possible to reduce or eliminate astigmatism and significantly improve your vision. The Acrysof Toric implant is a fixed focus lens, so it can be set to correct distance, intermediate or near depending on what range the patient desires. Therefore reading glasses may be needed after the surgery.
